Next stop: Cornell University
After three short months in Berlin I will soon head off to the next stop of my dissertation project. From August on I will be associated with the Department of City and Regional Planning at Cornell University for nine months.
For the first three month I will be located at the department’s NCY office in lower Manhattan. During this time I will complete my last phase of data collection, exploring all things Open Data in the Big Apple. I will mingle with a cohort of Urban Planning masters students, who will be at the office by that time and I will join a larger research program on Civic Technology, too.
From November on I will relocate to the main campus in Ithaca to meet with the other PhD students and to enter the write-up phase. If there is any good about blizzard-shaken winters I guess, it’s that you basically cannot leave your desk anyways.
